13 Jun

Just want to share about night life activities which is arranged for a month, celebrating anniversary of City of Surabaya. This nigh market is located in East Coast Center of Surabaya, has a lot of local or non local visitors. Besides music or other stage performance, there are various kinds of local food and vendors: Rujak Cingur, Gado-Gado, Bubur Ayam, Kacang Kowa, Baso, Nasi Bebek, Pempek Palembang, Spiral Potatoes, Fried Rice, Sate Ayam, Otak-Otak, Batagor, and many other types. Choice of drinks are also many, from local tea, jamu, es campur, kacang hijau, etc. Besides food and beverages, there are services for people, such as: figure sketching, photo corner, clothes selling, and kids playing spots.

This shows that the citizens need a place for gathering, having social interactions, with many kind of activities they can choose. The public space should provide convenience, choice, opportunities generation, sensory qualities, and quality of space and time. This can sustain through time, when people can actively participate into such public space.
